Envision Success is a program entity that is formed in direct response to the lack of successful teens transitioning from foster care to become independent young adults. The statistics show that only 3% of our teens are becoming somewhat successful. The goal of Envision Success is to identify youth who are at greatest risk of having a turbulent transition into adulthood and offer a positive support system to avoid the pitfalls that can derail their lives. Envision Success has a three tier system and although the focus may be slightly different on each level the main objective will be to empower the youth to make a positive change in his/her life. Envision success goal will be to increase success by 10% in the first graduation class and to increase steadily by 3% each year after that.  Envision success will be successful with a 25% completion to independence.

Envision Success offers a program based on needs and strengths, personality and age, to complete their educational goals, obtain full-time employment and to acquire suitable housing. Envision Success offers a safe, comfortable environment for the youth placement based on goals, strengths and time needed to complete the program. Each bedroom includes a private, complete bathroom. The IL stay will vary from as little as 6 months to maximum 24 months. This will help youth see movement and growth within themselves and the ability to stay focused. Once placed in our program, youth will experience maintaining a proper school schedule that is inline with their pre-established goals, attend small groups programming and maintain home life skills and events. The youth will also be exposed to a large community function on a monthly basis interacting with the other SIL youth to promote social interaction and build proper relationships with others.

This will also allow our youth to see other teens also building a future and help to motivate each other. Once they have completed their individual goal plan, they will be promoted to the next level. This IL home would allow young adults to branch to the next level of moving to the real world and still maintaining support that they may need. In the Independent Living home (IL) they will still have required education or work ready goals and would also be required to maintain modified group activities.  The young adults in the IL home will not have a full time host parent; they will be managed by our case workers who will maintain a small caseload to enable a very close relational perspective. Once the young adult has completed IL which is a minimum 12-24 months they will be graduated to college, military, or have maintained a steady job placement with the ability to support themselves. The last level will be to acquire housing. We will offer long term housing for a maximum 24 months to enable youth to get a solid plan and placement goal together.

Additionally, Envision Success will create a new way for youth to view how transitioning to adulthood can be a positive experience and give the young adult a sense of control in their lives.
