Managing Life With Skills Learned
I wouldn't say my success was easy but I will say it was worth the trials that I had to take to get where I am now. From age 5 to 19 years old I was the ward of the state. In and out of foster homes, group homes, and RTF programs you'd think I was defeated by the mental, verbal, and physical abuse that I endured. But these were lessons I needed to survive life, and the Hicks was one of a few to start this hope and journey when I felt that all was lost for me. From being depressed and confused about my purpose in this lifetime the Hicks guided me when I felt alone. They taught me how to be mentally and physically independent, helped me with my financial education, and helped me gain the confidence to fly high. I was just like you, doubtful, but let Envision Success help you too. We all deserve to be successful!

I was in care twice during my lifetime, from ages 3 months- 2 years old, then again at age 9 until I aged out. I have encountered a lot during my upbringing, roads that could’ve left me dead, on drugs, and homeless. Dayna and Christopher Hicks became my parents at age 16. When I was placed with them, I didn’t understand basic things such as how to fill out a job application, or how to appropriately care after myself and surroundings. It was through their love and the initial creation of Envision Success, that tools of independence and prosperity were exemplified within practices they taught to me. I learned how to become an independent young woman, through practices of learning how to navigate in life, both personal and career driven. I then successfully graduated high school , and went on to receive numerous trades and certifications through hard efforts and guidance of my parents. Today I am proud to say I am in full control of my life, having discipline, determination, and resilience. Ive held up 7 years working in the behavioral health services field, mentoring and advocating for individuals who also seek support. I currently live alone in my own place, in a great neighborhood five minutes from my parents. Every day I am thankful for them both, and the skills that they taught me.
I am proud to be their child, but also a product, of envision success.

Started off when I came into the house at 10years old. I was so lost and during my time there in the home , I enjoyed every moment. I was behind in school, knowledge and more thanks to Dayna my mother, I graduated and went to college. I’ve learned a lot from her , including her work ethics. She’s a hard dedicated loving mother. I used everything she taught me in life and applied it to my future , I’m a married man now !
